Grape Varieties: Trincadeira, Aragonez, Tinta Grossa, and others
The Mestre Daniel cuvees are named after the orginator of this tiny bodega, who's legacy is being continued by Ricardo and the group of friends.
These wines come from older vineyards - some ungrafted, protected by very sandy soils. They spend longer in talhas, around 6 months, giving more earthy, resinous, and herby character.
Mestra Daniel Tinto is intense. A real mix dark and red berry fruit, intense wild flavour and warming fleshiness. Herbaceous an herby, some whole-bunch sappiness. The palate is a delight, with beautiful balance and purity of flavour. Complex and long.
