Main Varieties Palomino, Perruno, and Tintilla
A well-travelled and much experienced chef-turned-winemaker, Raul Moreno now makes hugly interesting dry, table wines in the Jerez region of Andalucia, South-western Spain.
Raul found his tastebuds in the kitchen. He has worked for Marco Pierre White, and has had his own retaurant. Becoming more interested in wines along the way, he retrained and, for more than 20 years now, has made wine and taught viticulture all over the world, including France, Portugal and Australia. He returned to his home of Seville during the COVID pandemic, and settled, making his own wines, in Sanlucar de Barrameda. This town marks the western end of the 'Sherry triangle', as some know it, and it is this wonderful chalk-white, limestone terroir and indigenous varieties from which Raul now makes his wonderful wines.
