The Maias varietal wines are only released when they’re very special, and when the vintage allows them to show their true character. This Gouveio has been vinified in stainless steel to maintain those characteristics.

On the nose this wine shows zippy citrus lemon, with a beautiful wet-stone minerality, and a hint of white flowers. The palate is typically bold, with good weight and texture. The altitude of the region naturally maintains acidity and freshness, and this translates into a balanced and very long finish.

Good on it’s own, but even better with fish and vegetables.
