Grape Varieties Pinot Noir

Mayschoss is the town in which most of Marc's vineyards are found. This is also where the Josten family reside. This Pinot Noir is made with grapes from the steep-sided vineyards within this village, including some from the 'Grand Cru' sites of the Monchberg and Burgberg.

Due to their position on the bend of the river and their steep-slopes, the Mayschoss vineyards are a little more protected and warmer. This aids ripening of the grapes, and this comes through in the wine. It's the balance, elegance, and complexity of this wine that impresses!
