From Luis Pato’s centenarian single vineyard - a small, enchanting clearing surrounded by pine and eucalyptus forest, with clay over limestone beneath the surface. The ancient vines of the Barrosa vineyard provide some of Bairrada's greatest bottlings, and recent vintages are spectacular.


The low-yielding Baga vines produce a wine of intensity and structure. A true Bairrada classic, with rustic hedgerow fruit and crunchy cherry and red berries, alongside resinous pine and woody herbs. Sappy, grippy, but fine tannins balance high, tart acidity, and leave the palate wanting more. Vintage variation affects cellar longevity, but expect improvement from at least 10 years of patience.
