Grape Varieties Garnacha

This is a superb, single vineyard wine from Daniel. The "Los Chorrancos" site sits high above the town of El Tiemble, where the soil is comprised of a mix of Schist and Granitic sand. The vines here are extremely old and gnarled, and yields are tiny.

The wine is fermented with 30% stems, before aging in 600L French oak barrels for a year. Everything is very natural, with minimal intervention, and no fining or filtraion before bottling.

A little bottle age has developed this into an ethereal wine, that will make you melt into whatever chair you happen to be sitting in.  There's some sour cherry and damson fruit, but it's the rosemary and thyme herbal notes that are spectacular. A fantastic wine to enjoy on it's own, or perhaps with roast Lamb.
