The blend is always based on wines from the vineyards at the family's Herdade de Sao Miguel estate, and it's a selection of the very best quality parcels, blended together. They're looking for wines that express the terroir and vintage, alongside structure for longevity.

The wines are mostly foot-trodden, and open-fermented, prior to malolactic and ageing in barrel. A modern Alentejano classic.
