Grape Varieties Sercial

Almost a single vineyard wine, the grapes all come from a small area in Laje, Seixal, on the north coast of the island, where the weather fronts are cooler and fresher. The vineyard has had little tweaks made to the trellising and canopy management, to better suit a white table wine, rather than a fortified version.

The wine was fermented in stainless steel to control temperature and retain vibrancy and varietal character, but then aged in oak for a year. The result is a wondefully expressive wine with ripeness of fruit, intensity and concentration, and bags of natural acidity to hold everything together through the palate. A beautiful wine on it's own, but extremely gastronomic too.
