At Raymond Reynolds Ltd we have specialized in importing and distributing single estate wines from Portugal into the UK for over 25 years.
Our company has built a reputation as a dynamic specialist importer (in fact, the only specialist rated in the original Top 10 importers survey by the Wine Merchant magazine, and then repeated a second time in 2014), with recognized expertise in single estate wines from Portugal, specialist Port and Madeira wines, and now single estate wines from Spain and Germany.
We are proud of our specialist knowledge, and combine it with a bespoke and personal approach. We regularly taste all the wines in our portfolio and personally visit the growers we represent.
We only distribute wines which we import ourselves, holding extensive stocks at LCB Tilbury, as well as providing flexible ex cellar options for larger orders. Our small and communicative team are hands on across all departments, ensuring growers and customers alike get the level of service they require.
Where our wines are sold
Our client base is broad, and the wines we import can be found on the lists of the very finest wine merchants, luxury department stores and restaurants in the UK, as well as bespoke lines for larger retailers. If you wish to make a trade enquiry, or are a private client wanting to know where particular wines we import can be found near to you, please contact us.
Raymond was born and raised in Portugal, going on to study Chemistry at Leicester University, and Oenology at Bordeaux. Returning to Portugal, he became assistant winemaker at Taylor’s Port, before moving to the UK in 1990 and setting up Raymond Reynolds Ltd. He is a member of the Port Wine confraria.
Jackie has been running the Raymond Reynolds office since 1994, coming from a background (mostly) of secretarial management. Although Jackie did once manage a wine bar, she only recently admitted to this.
A Doctor of Enzymology, Max comes from a background in academic research. He holds the WSET Level 3 (Distinction), and is an Advanced Ambassador of the Wines of Portugal Academy.
Having a long held passion for anything and everything wine-related, Faye joined us following a successful career in the IT & Telecoms industry. With a keen focus on learning, she recently gained her WSET Level 3 qualification and is enjoying some slightly less academic, and more 'vocational' development!
